Therapeutic Exercises at Alaska Hand Rehabilitation BTE Work Simulator for Strengthening
The BTE Work Simulator is a machine that simulates a variety of real-world tasks and activities using the natural feel of isotonic resistance. Our therapists use this machine to replicate tasks from home, work or sports activities. They are able to adjust the resistance to match the subtle effort of turning a key to the act of lifting a heavy box. This allows patients to strengthen their skills while the therapist supervises to be sure they are using the proper form and technique. Utilizing the BTE is a great way to track progress and allow you to gain confidence while returning to your activities of daily living.
Rebounder/Plyometrics Program for Strengthening
The Plyometric Rebounder is a rehabilitation tool used by our therapists to progressively build strength, coordination and balance following an injury. Use of the Rebounder creates the opportunity for patients to perform rhythmic and dynamic movements. This can stabilize the core and target areas that may need strengthening after injury.
